| At
the end of this month (March) in Dallas, TX, Dinosaur
Jr. plans to kick off the follow-up
to the band's surprise reunion tour of last year.
There is currently no listing for a Seattle date
on this tour—which
features the original line-up
of J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph—but
Dinosaur Jr. will play a number of west coast shows,
including Eugene, OR. Dates listed below. While
Dinosaur Jr. has reportedly been working on new
material for a possible future recording, Merge
Records says that we should not expect to hear
any new material on the upcoming tour, "as Murph claims it might be a
little too early for public consumption." There is also a live DVD in the
works, with concert footage recorded in Chicago
and New York last fall. And
finally in Dinosaur Jr.
news, the band is slated to perform and curate one
day of the All Tomorrow's Parties Festival in the UK this
May. Artists featured on Dinosaur
Jr. Day include: Broken Social Scene, Mission Of Burma,
Dead Meadow, Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Lilys and more.
